The Ahmad Jawed Research Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization established to promote research, intellectual inquiry, and ethical journalism. The Foundation is instituted in honour of Ahmad Jawed, whose lifelong contributions to journalism, research, language, and public thought have left a lasting impact on intellectual and cultural life. The Ahmad Jawed Research Foundation supports researchers, journalists, scholars, and writers through awards, prizes, fellowships, and academic initiatives. It encourages serious, research-based work in journalism, humanities, social sciences, language studies, history, and related fields, with particular emphasis on ethical practice, originality, and long-term relevance.

Through its awards, research prizes, essay competitions, publications, and public engagements, the Foundation seeks to foster a culture of thoughtful inquiry and responsible expression. Mr. Ahmad Jawed is a well-known journalist, poet, columnist and author of many books. His column FIKR-e-FARDA appears every Sunday since May 2006; up to June 2012 on editorial page of the Hindustan Express daily, New Delhi, after then the Azad Hind, Kolkata for year and the INUILAB (all 15 editions in north India). His excellence and contribution of more than 30 years in the field of Urdu/ Hindi journalism is substantial and significant.
